Amish Children |
Amish and Mennonites
One of Robert Roché's favorite subjects is
rural farm life. His warmth and feeling for country people is probably best expressed in
the paintings of the Amish and Mennonites.

Having
spent a great deal of time over the years on farms throughout the country, his
understanding of farmers and their way of living enabled him to be accepted by these
people and to work amongst them; a privilege not usually accorded to
"outlanders".
